A very good sushi and Japanese restaurant. The service was very friendly and efficient. Our server was excellent. All of our menu items were well-prepared and fresh. The elote corn with crisy wonton chips was a pleasant surprise. Udon noodles were done just right and in a flavorful broth. The generous variety of tempura was nice to have. I also tried the sesame chicken which was very good. Dining area was pleasant and comfortable.

This restaurant used to be Pearl Garden Chinese Cuisine, then it became Szechuan Restaurant, and now it's Kigawa Sushi. This all-you-can-eat sushi opened in February of 2024. They have three different set prices, which is $24.99 for lunch, $36.99 for dinner & weekends, and kids (3-10) are $16.99. There are some items that are only available during the dinner hours. Indoor seating is very limited here. Table sizes seats no more than 4 people at each table, as there are only 15 tables inside. Depending on what time you arrive, you may have to wait for a while. There is a 90-minute time limit to dine-in, which only will be enforced when there's a line of people waiting to be seated. I came here on a Friday afternoon, so I can only review the lunch experience at $25/person. We arrived around 1pm, as there was a short line of people waiting to be seated. My party of 3 waited for a few minutes by the time we were seated. Their lunch hour closes at 2:30pm, and reopens at 4:30pm for dinner. Even though we can only order 3-items at a time per table, they always have random items available for anyone to take at the front community table. The items were edamame, seaweed, egg rolls, gyoza and miscellaneous sushi rolls. Even though it can take a very long time for the specific rolls that you ordered, at least they had plenty of buffet style items that you can take from the community table. I didn't have any of the ramen but my friend did, as he said that the flavor was very bland. All the ramen contains no meat. As for the sushi that you order, it usually comes in just 4 rolls, as they are just okay. Not bad for all-you-can-eat. The service was very slow, as they were very busy during the time we arrived, but it slowed down fast when there was only about 30-minutes left before the restaurant closed their lunch hours. By that time, a lot of food became available to eat, but the sushi rolls were pretty random. I would give this restaurant a 3.5 stars, based off of their lunch prices & experience. I would find it hard to spend $37/person per-tax & tip, but it was worth it for their lunch hour prices, as I got plenty to eat.

I'm gonna start them with 5 stars because I thought the lunch was good and very filling at $24.99, you can practically get everything on the menu and they bring out the full portions. Now, if you don't finish the food on your table they will charge you but I didn't understand that but they were accommodating so advice to only order what you can eat. You have 90 minutes so that's more than enough time. You can order 6 items at a time. The ramen was very good, the lion king, and just about everything else I had. There is a lot of space inside the restaurant and lots of parking. It's clean! I'd give them another shot.

Just opened! Came here to try the all-you-can-eat special. Not many people during lunch since it's the grand opening, and not many know about it yet. They offer plenty of choices, and everything is made to order. The variety of sashimi is impressive! Fresh fish, a wide range of appetizers, and even ramen on the menu. At $24.99, it's a great deal for all-you-can-eat sushi. Will definitely return!

This was a great find! I wasn't expecting much when I walked in. It was amazed by the service and quality of food. It's an all you can eat buffet but it's to order. You can order 5 items per person at a time. Once you finish, you can order more. They make the order fresh to order. There's some pre-made items while you are waiting for your food while your order is being made fresh! Wow, it's not like a buffet with a bunch of premade food. It's all to order. I was surprised by the quality! I'll be bringing my family the next time!

New restaurant alert! A former Schezuan restaurant, now turned ayce Sushi (90 min dining experience). Nice corner location, that has a huge grand opening sign. We went on Day 3. This restaurant is linked to Kigawa Bistro in San Leandro but the menu is a bit different. The signage on the outside is still a little bit confusing - but yes, it is now Japanese! Service was prompt to sit us. There was only one wait staff, so she was a little spread thin among all her tables. There were some rolls pre-made sitting on the table in front of the sushi bar, which you were welcome to take. My only concern here is that it was just sitting on the table, and not chilled or anything, so we were a little skeptical on how long things could have been kept out for that long especially if they had raw ingredients. The menu is pretty extensive between appetizers, sashimi, nigiri, fried rice, dons, and rolls. We appreciated that the portions were not too big (except for the fried rice) so we could try different things. The sashimi cuts were generous and of good quality. The rolls were good, and not too overwhelmingly big. Service was nice. Ambiance was simple and clean. Overall, great experience! If you're having sushi roll and sashimi cravings, and nothing too unique or fancy, this is a great spot to enjoy good quality food!

As I ventured into Kigawa Sushi, I was immediately welcomed by the friendly staff and a clean, pleasant dining area. The excitement of the lunch crowd created a lively atmosphere. My dining experience was kickstarted with the elote corn paired with crispy wonton chips; it was an extraordinary appetizer that exceeded my expectations. The udon noodles were cooked to perfection, rich in flavor, and the variety of tempura added a delightful crunch to the meal.

However, while the sushi was mostly good, the standout items I truly enjoyed were the lion king rolls and ramen, both lovingly crafted with generous portions. The staff ensured our glasses remained full and were pleasantly attentive throughout our visit. Although the tables are cozy with a 90-minute time limit to facilitate turnover, the ambiance remained comfortable and relaxed.
